This is a Merlin Location three times over, and each significant in its own way. It gave me a real thrill to visit Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire on Monday, and find the spot on the ancient Ridgeway Path where we saw Merlin Himself for the very first time. I don’t know if it was deliberate, but one could hardly wish for a more historical or indeed a more English path for him to walk!
